Stanborough, Stanborough Park Activity Centre
Swim Safe is being delivered by GLL at Stanborough Park Activity Centre. There are both schools and public sessions on offer at this site. School sessions run on the 9th, 16th, 23rd May and 6th, 13th June. Public sessions will run on each day between 12th and 16th August. Sessions will be made bookable 6 weeks prior to them taking place.
On arrival please report to the centre reception which can be found next to Terranova Restaurant.
By car - leave the A1(M) at junction 4 and follow the signs to Stanborough Park Southside
By train - 1 mile from Welwyn Garden City station
By bus - Arriva 300/301 or Uno 405
Parking at Stanborough Park is operated on a camera recognition system (ANPR). As a user of the Activity Centre you can get a reduced parking rate of £1.50 for the day. Forms for this are available at reception.
Showers, toilets, changing rooms and refreshments are all available on site.
Please bring shoes suitable to wear by the water side, old trainers or wetshoes are fine. Crocs are available to buy on site.
Stanborough Park has two lakes and covers an area of 126 acres on the outskirts of Welwyn Garden City in Hertfordshire. Swim Safe will take place in the lake on the Southside. Stanborough has been awarded to prestigious Green Flag Award for the past 10 years. Home of Stanborough Park Activity Centre, on the South Lake you can experience sailing, kayaking, canoeing, stand up paddleboarding, rafting, holiday clubs, health walks and our aqua inflatable in one of our many activity sessions.
